The Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (BOCONGO) has urged the Government of Botswana to take immediate action following the suspension of U.S. funding for civil society programs in the country. The decision, implemented under President Donald J. Trump’s administration, was communicated by the U.S. Embassy in Gaborone to several affected organizations, including BOCONGO.
