Botswana moves to curb profit shifting by multinational corporations

Botswana has taken a major step toward tax transparency and curbing profit shifting by multinational corporations following its recent endorsement of a key international tax cooperation instrument. According to an update from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Botswana signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on the Exchange of Country-by-Country Reports (CbC MCAA) on April 9, 2025.
