Two local companies, BrightLabs, an app development studio, and H2O Media, an advertising company, have formed a joint venture to launch a new, exciting business directory smartphone application.
Conveniently named LIST IT, the application offers businesses a platform to conveniently place their contacts and important information in the hands of consumers 24/7. It also allows for consumers to conveniently find and locate businesses while on the move.
In an interview, Mmoloki Thapa, of H2O Media, told Lifestyle how Smartphones have revolutionized the way we conduct business and how we interact with one another the world over. “Our application finally offers Botswana businesses and marketers a missing link to directly reach their target audience on a whole new level anytime anywhere. By tapping into this ever growing market of business phones, businesses in Botswana are now able to maintain a convenient presence in the palms and pockets of the consumers”.
His business partner and List It software developer, Dintle Sealetse of BrightLabs, said their application is packed with useful features for both the business and consumer.
“Through List It, Botswana businesses now have an opportunity to be accessible to consumers, no matter where they are, locally or internationally. It is a convenient business tool that will increase business opportunities, and amplify the outreach and visibility of businesses to key potential consumers and investors ultimately increasing sales. Our service takes away the hassle of flipping through the pages of a traditional directory to find business contacts. The impracticality of carrying around a traditional directory, means most of us find ourselves stranded looking for essential business contacts to save us from an emergency we might be facing at the time. According to Sealetse, the technology behind List It was recently voted Best E-Commerce App, at the BlackBerry Jam Sessions Super Hackathon in Cape Town, South Africa.
“Our APP is currently available for BlackBerry Smartphones and Tablets at BlackBerry’s App World, and for Android Smartphones at Google Play, with more platforms to follow in the near future”.
The APP will be available for public download from the 1st of December 2012.
