Dingake’s Ultimatum – Include Babitseng

Attorney Martin Dingake has issued an ultimatum to Botswana football Association (BFA) electoral committee to include Tariq Babitseng in the list of candidates for BFA National Executive Committee (NEC) positions.

Babitseng, along with Masego Nchingane, Phadza Butale and Carlos Sebina recently won an appeal against the electoral committee’s decision to vet them out of the race. In the aftermath of the appeal win, the electoral committee elected Thapelo Resheng as its chairman, replacing Moemedi Letina. The BFA Elections Appeals Committee had ruled the latter’s presence in the electoral commission as illegal.

After assuming the role, Resheng informed Babitseng, Nchingane, Butale and Sebina that they will be subjected to an ‘integrity test.’ This has since been perceived as yet another hurdle to eliminate them from the race.
