Explaining gender violence in the era of neo-liberalism

For all of us to address gender violence, there is a serious need in understanding the relationship between gender and the political economy. When we talk about gender violence, we need to talk about how it is generated and perpetuated because in understanding the how and why we will be much better equipped to take up the question of how to change it. We need to lay bare the multiple interacting factors that produce the conditions for gendered violence and a number of incisive observations about the individuation of social life under the political system that rules the world today, capitalism.
