Former Permanent Secretary, Elvidge Mhlauli, will appear before the magistrate court again this week.
His court appearance arose after allegedly being swindled of P1 million by a man who is now accusing him of plotting to assassinate him.
The Station Commander of the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport Police Station, Superintendent King Tshebo, said Mhlauli is expected to appear before the Village Magistrate Court sometime this week to answer to a single count of threat to kill.
Tshebo said Mhlauli was allegedly owed a huge amount of money by the complainant but it emerged that when the suspect demanded his money from the complainant, he threatened to kill the complainant.
However, Mhlauli had earlier reported to the Serious Crimes Squad that he was being swindled of about P1 million. A docket was opened and police investigations have being completed.
