Keabetswe Molotsi, the brains behind the award-winning short story “Matlhalerwa,” recently discussed with us her remarkable transition from law to literature, her writing process, and the inspiration behind her captivating narratives.
When asked about her transition from law to teaching and eventually pursuing a career in writing, Molotsi revealed that her journey wasn’t initially directed towards law. “Firstly, I wasn’t entirely sure I wanted to be a lawyer at all when I applied for the program,” she confessed. “After graduating from law and working for a few months, I decided I wanted to try something different, and teaching appealed to me. Best decision I’ve ever made.”
