With an impressive line up that is headlined by Oliver Mutukudzi and Tshepo Tshola, J & J Promotions are bringing an end to the current drought of open-air music affairs in Gaborone next Saturday (see our A&E Guide).
Local artists also listed are Lister Boleseng, Ndingo Johwa, Punah Gabasiane, John Selolwane, Maxy, Matsieng, Shanti Lo and Lucas Senyatso.
J&J Promotions coordinators reckon that though open air music festivals are popular around the world, Botswana seems neglected and overlooked as a venue for such events and what way to honour this need but with a line up of more than 10 artists.
The billed venue, Fair Grounds, is able to accommodate in excess of 10 000 revellers, and J&J Promotions say a minimal fee will be kept to enable that the majority of revellers attend. Other concerts will be organised for north and central Botswana. The concert will start at 4pm and tickets cost, P135 (in advance) and P150 (at the gate).
