Hospital records first case of triplets

In a historical development for the hospital, which first opened its doors in 2010, Lenmed Health Bokamoso Private, formerly known as Bokamoso Hospital, has recorded its first case of triplets.

Lenmed Health Bokamoso Private Hospital currently has nine obstetricians/gynaecologist and four paediatricians.

The hospital reports that under the care of gynecologist Dr Ahmed Mula, the triplets were successfully delivered within 27 minutes on the 15th of February with good scores and weights.

“Lenmed Health Bokamoso Private Hospital holds the pride of hosting such a delivery and being the first case to have happened ever since the hospital started operating,” said the hospital’s spokesperson, Mmabatho Mokabedi.

On the subject of multiple births, cases of triplets in the country are not as common as those of twins as is witnessed by the attention received by the Cecilia and Bernard Brown’s family during and after delivery of Adalia, Alisa and Rabi Brown.

At a ceremony to celebrate the successful delivery of the hospital’s first triplets, the country’s fastest growing supermarket chain, Choppies, donated a year’s worth of nappies, while the CEO and management team of the Hospital donated 3 prams and clothes.

Ruben Naidoo, the CEO of the hospital, said that the triplets, two girls and a boy, will be the brand of what is now Lenmed Health Bokamoso Private Hospital. He commended the medical staff for their ability to handle such a challenge and stated how exciting a development the birth of the triplets was for the hospital.
