Botswana’s housing market softened in the first quarter of 2025, with national residential sale prices slipping by just over four percent to an average of P907,622. The slowdown was most visible in Selebi-Phikwe, Lobatse, the central region and Greater Gaborone, where activity has largely stalled. Still, estate agents say interest remains steady for affordable, well-located homes — those renting for P5,000 or less, or selling between P400,000 and P800,000 — even as supply continues to rise in the mid- to upper-price brackets.
