One of the methods through which Private Members or MPs who are not Ministers or Assistant Ministers can hold the executive accountable is asking questions in the House. MPs can ask questions about policy pronouncements, laws, regulations and other matters that are relevant to implementation of public policy. Questions maybe asked about perceived corruption, fiscal and revenue crimes, mismanagement, maladministration or unethical practices of officials or departments. Questions may be geared towards causing positive action by the Ministry to attend to an urgent matter.
