Kedikilwe launches Mokaila in high spirits

The ruling party chairman and Vice President Dr. Ponatshego Kedikilwe launched the Parliamentary candidate for Good Hope- Rakhuna in high spirits a day after former President Festus Mogae’s sting in the tail remarks signalling loss of confidence in party President made the headlines.

A singing and dancing Vice President blessed Mokaila and his team of prospective councillors on Saturday. Presenting Mokaila, Kedikilwe spelt out Mokaila’s achievements in the needs of his constituency saying he brought sewage water reticulation, the Rakhuna Botswana Defence Force Camp, the Phitshane water supply project, Motako Road among others. Nationally the VP said Mokaila’s Ministry of Minerals is considering to process coal to make oil and diesel locally.

“Mokaila has a lot to do. We have 200 billion tonnes of coal reserves which cannot be transported as exports to other countries by air but train. Mokaila is currently working on how the railway system will carry and transport coal to Namibia and Mozambigue.”

Mokaila promised to respect the wishes of his constituents at all times saying he will be a servant of the people not their political master. “I believe our responsibility is to go and represent the interests of our people. Mokaila said the BDP in his constituency was going to annihilate the opposition. (A re nyeletse ba kganetso ko ditlhophong) I desire that by 2019 we should have no other in this constituency other than the BDP. No one can win this constituency from us unless we sell it. I trust that I will have nine councillors in the council after 24 October,”’ said Mokaila in his acceptance remarks. Mokaila was unopposed in the party’s Bulela Ditswe.

Other democrats who came to lend Mokaila support,  included Gladys Kokorwe, Leach Tlhomelang, Thabang Keakile Mephato Reatile and  Tebogo Carter Masire among others.
