Khama comes back?

Former President Lt Gen Ian Khama is expected back in Botswana tomorrow ending a 31 months self-imposed exile in South Africa and eSwatini.

Khama, whose planned return is expected to coincide with the Sir Seretse Khama Day on July 1st allegedly hopes to ride on the symbolism of the public holiday.

Sources close to the former president, claim that he has been emboldened by recent decisions by the state to drop charges against former Commissioner of Police Keabetswe Makgope and former deputy Commissioner of Police Bruno Paledi.

The dup where charged alongside Khama and former Director of Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) Isaac Kgosi.
