Lansmore Masa Square participates in Business Travel Expo 2012

Lansmore Masa Square this week showcases its efforts at constantly striving to make waves in the hospitality sector.

The business’ first luxury hotel participated in this year’s inaugural BT Africa Expo Conference and Awards. The expo, Africa’s premier business travel event, was held from the 6th to the 7th of September 2012 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

The inaugural event, a corporate travel indaba, was hosted by the publishers of Africa’s leading business travel magazine,┬áBusiness Traveller Africa.

The event aimed primarily at the African business travel market. The expo draws people from various fields, with expert conference panellists including industry-leading exhibitors. Over 80 influential players from the hotel, airline, car rental, and insurance industries exhibited their products within the Convention Centre’s Ballroom.

“The expo makes for some fantastic networking opportunities and we’re just very excited to be participating. It is at events such as these that everyone in the industry comes together so that we can see just how big the business travel market is and how we can continue to be a part of that. That we are here in essence representing the Botswana market is just incredible,” said Lansmore Masa Square General Manager, Mr. Rupert Elliott, at the Travel Expo.

Lansmore Masa Square operated a stall in conjunction with its parent company, Lonrho Hotels. The hotel distributed information on the various draws it has for business travellers in particular.
Opportunities existed for visitors to, for example, find out more about the business conferencing facilities of the hotel.

“The primary objective of the BNT Africa Expo 2012 is to bring together leading industry professionals and cultivate stronger relationships between them and the expo visitors. We were delighted that Lansmore Masa Square came on board and made the trip down,” said Michelle McBride, an organiser of the event.
