Botswana’s government says low vaccination coverage among livestock is a key reason foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) continues to persist in the country’s North West region.
Minister of Lands and Agriculture Edwin Dikoloti said authorities remain committed to eliminating the disease but warned that progress has been slowed by limited participation in vaccination campaigns and other challenges.
