The road to Sao Paulo, Brazil continued at the weekend when the Miss Universe Botswana finalists took to Riverwalk Shopping Center at a meet-and-greet session.
The session was designed in the form of a fashion show for members of the public to meet the finalists and appreciate the beauty and ambition of Botswana. Miss Universe Botswana goes under the theme ‘Beauty and Ambition.’
The pageant aims to take advantage of the beauty and ambition of Botswana women to help brand Botswana through diamonds, tourism, and culture.
Shoppers had a good time on Saturday as they closely watched the gorgeous finalists display outfits from Woolworths, Identity, Truworths, and Mafia Soul. The show started at 12:30 pm and finished at 15:00 pm.
The public presentation continued on Sunday when the finalists attended the Zebras game. The finalists charmed the Zebras’ fans as they paraded around the field waiving at the crowd.
The Miss Universe Botswana-Zebras partnership also forms part of the Miss Universe Botswana mission to help brand Botswana through her biggest resources. The attendance was sponsored by BFA.
The Miss Universe Botswana 2011 grand finale is slated for Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Gaborone International Convention Center. The Miss Universe Botswana finalists include, Thabiso Oagile, Koketso Matshwa, Kaone Malapa, Kesaobaka Sefhako, Angel Kadziya, Jacqueline Sesa, Gomotsegang Kegope, Maungo Gwazai, Larona Kgabo, Minkie Matebejane and Onalenna Kelebemang.
The winner of this year’s Miss Universe Botswana hopes to repeat what Mpule Kwelagobe achieved in 1999 by becoming Miss Universe 2011.
