The Directorate of Corruption and Economic Crime is investigating some Members of Parliament and Chief Executive Officers who are implicated in illegal heavy duty license dealings.
Information passed to Sunday Standard alleged that some MPs and CEO are under investigation following the illegal issuing of heavy duty licenses.
It is understood that a senior officer at the Road Transport and Safety is issuing illegal licenses to high profile people and that some of the implicated suspects apparently bought American made F2 52 luxury vehicles that require a “class c license”, which is commonly known a heavy duty license.
The deputy director of Department of Transport and Road Safety, Mrs Joina, told Sunday Standard in a brief interview, “I am not in a position to comment of the matter”.
