The New African Woman, a global publication which focuses on issues affecting the mother continent has recognised Rutang Moses, the Chief Executive Officer of SAFDICO Botswana and Diamond Technology Park for outstanding work in her field.
The magazine on its current issue celebrates African women who have ‘broken the glass’ ceiling and Moses got celebrated alongside other women in the continent.
Moses told Sunday Standard that there is a growing recognition and acknowledgement of “Africa rising” and Botswana is seen as a model country.
“This issue of the publication celebrates the contribution of the African women in growing the African economy and it encourages us to develop, grow and inspire the next generation of leaders,” she revealed. .
Moses is also a member of African Leadership Network (ALN), the premier community of young, dynamic and influential leaders in Africa and also a member of Women Inspiration and Enterprise Network (WIE Africa).
In 2012, she was recognised as a “New Generation Leader for Africa” for her outstanding leadership, by African Leadership Network (ALN), to the company’s culture of ensuring that through skills transfer its human resource base is skilled, highly trained and competent.
Moses was the first and only woman honouree of the 2012 ALN’s three representatives for Botswana and chosen out of several thousand candidates from across Africa presented to ALN selection committee.
