A multi-million road construction project funded by the European Union (EU) is at the center of a brewing scandal amid allegations that the Office of the President is pushing for the tender to be handed to a favoured contractor, outside the legal procurement process.
The 30 kilometer road project valued at P300 million and bankrolled by the EU is reportedly facing delays and credibility issues following claims of political interference at the highest level.
