Even though the police put out a P50 00 reward for information, police say they still have no clue as to the whereabouts of the suspects, who are suspected to have murdered an 8-year-old girl for ritual purposes almost three months ago.
The Officer Commanding District Number 4 in Lobatse said they are pleading with the public to come forward with any information, however little, that may lead to the arrest of the murder suspects who are still at large.
Speaking to the Telegraph this week, Senior Superintendent, Oreneetse Mogapaesi, said, “It’s almost three months since the death of the eight-year-old girl who was murdered but the police have no clue about the whereabouts of the culprits.”
She said as the police they are working around the clock, looking for information from the public but no information is being proffered.
“It pains both the police and the parents of the child that no one has come forward with information in spite of the P50 000 reward yet someone somewhere knows what really happened but they remain silent,” she said.
She assured the public that the information will be treated with confidentiality and the informant will be protected by all means.
“I appeal to the public that they should come forward with any information that will assist the police to arrest the suspects because the suspects may strike again and they need to be stopped as soon as possible,” she said.
The deceased, Tlamelo Keneng, was a student at Mosamowakwena Primary School near Molapowabojamg.
She was reported missing on the 2nd of July and part of her remains were discovered at different locations on the 19th and 27th of the same month.
