Three Botswana Petrol-heads and their partners were this past weekend treated to world-class motorsports in neighbouring country – South Africa. The Botswana couples were selected after participating in the Puma Energy Botswana fueling competition.
As part of their prizes, Puma Energy made an all expenses paid trip to the Festival of Motoring held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg.
The, annual festival includes display of modern supercars, GT race cars, historic race cars and a large variety of V8 muscle cars to excite motoring enthusiasts.
According to Puma Energy Botswana, the leading industry-related after market and accessory companies also exhibited at the event, which was in its fourth year and is hosted under the auspices of vehicle financer, WesBank.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt, the Festival of Motoring is endorsed by National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa and supported by the local motor manufacturers. It is the largest national industry supported auto show on the continent.
Botswana couples, alongside hundreds other visitors had an opportunity to drive various models on the dedicated Kyalami Handling Track or be professionally driven around the world-class Grand Prix Circuit.
The show also incorporated a huge family appeal, featuring a large variety of catering areas, refreshments and interactive and fun activations including kids’ zones and a braai area, making it a perfect family outing.
