The two sensational jazz divas, Nono Seile and Puna Gabasiane, will set the Millennium Jazz Restaurant alight with their melodious sounds this Sunday, 7th November. Both ladies continue to promote their albums and Nono’s hit song, ‘Nthekela Ring’, has become a favourate on the local radio airways.
“The whole album, Kgarebe, is a masterpiece. Nono has proved that she is a force to reckon with. What she has to do is simply to stay focused and she will make it as evidenced by her performance last Saturday at the Summer Jazz festival,” says Uncle Shima Monageng, presenter of a jazz show on GabzFM and owner of Millennium Jazz Restuarant.
Puna needs no introduction to Millennium jazz restuarnt revellers, having won BOMU Awards for various categories and performed at the popular jazz joint, Uncle Shima says Puna is back at MJR by popular demand and that the two songbirds’ performances this Sunday is ideal since the restaurant has now embarked on the line up for the festive season.
Immediately after Nono and Puna’s show, the bassist Citie Seetso will perform the following Sunday. Socca Moruakgomo is scheduled to launch His new CD, ‘Your smile’, at the MJR on the 21st where he will also be shooting a DVD. Gabzfm jazz show , The Joy of Jazz Fusion presented by Uncle Shima will be broadcast live at Socca’s show as a continued endeavour to take Gabzfm to the people. The jazz joint will welcome the New Year with Lister Boleseng’s perfomance. Lister’s shows have always been one of the best and well attended shows at MJR.
