Rasesa awaits finalization of task team report

The whole of last week was a hive of activity at Rasesa kgotla west of Mochudi as villagers took turns telling what they knew about their bogosi in order to determine its correctness. The stories were told to a panel of three dikgosi assigned by the Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs.  The three are Deputy Kgosi Boteke Motshegare of Barolong, Kgosi Malepa Orekeng of Ntlhantlhe and Kgosi Omphitlhetse Mogapi of Otse.  Their job was delayed by a week because of misunderstanding between them and Deputy Kgosi Sekai Linchwe although their specific roles were different. The role of the three visiting dikgosi was to investigate the truthfulness of the bogosi at Rasesa and find solution to the dispute. On the other hand Sekai’s role was simply to present the task team to the community at Rasesa. It was an instruction he was required to carry out. However, he did not do that arguing that the ministry wrote them conflicting instructions.  He complained that the wording was inconsistent and therefore he found it improper for him to present the team to the community.
