Documents detail how charitable organizations among them the Botswana Red Cross Society and schools were beneficiaries of Ecoplexus-a company which allegedly swindled Batswana millions of Pula.
In a letter dated 23 March 2023 addressed to Ecoplexus, Botswana Red Cross Society (BRICS) secretary general Kutlwano Mukokomani said; “We take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to your organization for assisting and supporting us through your generous donation.”
He added that: “The donation will benefit children in Sefhare Stimulation Centre.” Mukokomani explained that BRICS is “an impartial and voluntary aid humanitarian organization auxiliary to the government of Botswana established in March 1968 under the act of Parliament. BRICS exist to protect life and restore human suffering by providing humanitarian services being guided solely by the needs while giving priority to the most urgent case of distress.”
