This year’s auditions are scheduled from October 6, 2023, to November 4, 2023, marking a historic milestone in the annals of this prestigious pageant. The Auditions will be inaugurated by the reigning Queen, Miss Lesego Chombo.
For the very first time in the history of Miss Botswana, we are spreading our auditions across more than 23 locations, reaching every corner of our exquisite nation. This expansion embodies our unwavering dedication to unearth exceptional talent and potential within our country and provide aspiring beauty queens with a resplendent stage to shine.
But there’s more! We are revolutionizing the audition process this year. In addition to the quest for our next Miss Botswana, we will also be on the lookout for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) operating within the beauty and fashion industry. These visionary enterprises will become integral to the Journey to Miss World TV Show, an exclusive broadcast on Botswana Television.
To complement the auditions, we are thrilled to introduce a series of Mini Beauty Expos at the district level. These expos serve as a prelude to the National Beauty and Fashion Expo, slated for February 2023. The National Beauty and Fashion Expo, born out of Miss Botswana, made its debut last year to create a platform for local industry players to exhibit their wares and forge connections with global industry leaders. It affords local SMEs the opportunity to showcase their products in major retail chains, both domestically and abroad.
The National Beauty and Fashion Expo are a pivotal moment for the industry, aiming to unlock doors for local businesses to display their products on the global stage. The Mini Beauty and Fashion Expos during the auditions will provide a sneak peek into the innovation and creativity that the National Expo promises.
