Ruffle your wardrobe and spice up for spring

Nothing says spring is here like blossoming flowers, warm weather and a splash of colour everywhere from street aisles to the wardrobe. For many, dark tone colours common in winter get shelved for floaty, comfortable light wear with a pop of colour.

LifeStyle caught up with fashion blogger and owner of Nostalgia and cloth Nollie Ngwira, who states that spring is “all about solids and prints”.

Inspired by a vintage fashion and colourful wear with an elegant touch, Nollie says spring fashion should accentuate the mood of this bright season. “Spring wear is usually bold, exuberant and cheerful.  From striking prints to floral sequences, spring is usually the ideal season to spice up and upgrade your wardrobe,” explains the fashion blogger.

“You can mix a floaty long yellow accent dress with a pair of subtle black and white striped heels. You don’t want to pair colours that ‘scream’. Choosing colours that blend and complement each other is important for pulling off an outfit that will have you turning heads for the right reasons,” states Ngwira.

On choosing accessories, she highlights: “Spring beckons you to experiment with solids and prints.  However, you have to carefully choose the accessories you pair with your outfits. Mix and match jewellery and adding a colourful clutch bag or belt.”

“Cropped denims, a crisp white shirt and floral prints are definite wins for spring,” she says.
