Do we understand the meaning of beauty?
I would say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it is for this reason that I would say beauty is subjective to experience, often said that ‘Beauty is bought by the judgment of the eye’.
It’s not about size, shape, colour, sex, or age. It’s about being your best self from the inside out.
Beauty is a characteristic of a person or an idea that provides a perceptual experience of meaning, pleasure and satisfaction. It involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to attraction and emotional well-being of an individual.
Until the early 20th century, beauty aids were concocted at home, the recipes passed down from mother to daughter and from neighbour to neighbour. The cosmetics industry was jump-started by the mass popularity of anti-aging products in the 1920s, and grew over the next few decades as women entered the workforce and migrated to the cities in increasing numbers.
Beauty has been extremely commercialized as a cultural creation. ‘Ideal beauty’ is an entity which is admired or possesses features widely attributed to in a particular culture for perfection.
Every woman loves to look beautiful. It is not that only those women who feel they are ugly want to know how to become beautiful. Even beautiful women wish to become more beautiful.
For this, they make a lot of effort to improve their physical appearance. They spend so much of their time in selecting the right skin cream, eye makeup, clothing, etc. It is a common assumption that men are just not bothered about their looks and are not willing to make an effort to care for their beauty.
A fact that men will never admit is that they are equally conscious and bothered about the way they look and also like getting themselves pampered at beauty salons and spas.
All in all everyone wants to look beautiful therefore we turn to finding ways of making ourselves look glowing through some beauty products. However, all these beauty products will help to make them beautiful only temporarily. For a permanent effect, you should learn to make yourself beautiful from within.
One may ask him/herself how they can become beautiful or remain beautiful. It’s so easy. Avoid negative energy. Do not be envious of others for their name, fame, looks, abilities, financial status or any other reason.
Also, do not speak negatively about other people. Do not criticize yourself; it is important to always discourage negative thoughts which make one to be his/her own enemy because we all have an inner critic lying within ourselves who tend to make us look down upon ourselves. It often creates doubt in our mind about our appearance, confidence, and talents.
Follow your passion; identify one such thing that you love to do the most. Or any such thing that makes you forget the time.
Be involved in those activities for a few hours at least once a day or once a week. You will find that it helps to rejuvenate the spirits within you.
Accept your flaws: Do not think too much about those aspects of your looks that you do not like. If you, yourself can accept them, then you will observe that you are not much bothered when other people are pointing at those flaws. Keep your focus on the things that you like doing and move ahead in life.
