Entertainment mogul, Steve Rahman, has done it again.
Rahman, who operates four night clubs in the country, has added another entertainment facility to his business empire. Tuesday saw the official opening of Talking Heads pub at the Maruapula Shopping Mall in Gaborone.
Talking Heads is an addition to the already existing Zoom Night Club. It serves as an alternative to revellers who enjoy night out entertainment in a relaxed atmosphere as it provides for a sitting arrangement. The place has capacity to seat 130 patrons and provides live music performances by local artists.
It is decorated with various African artefacts hanging on the wall and has been given an outdoor look with the roof ceiling covered with wilted palm tree leafs. Patrons do not have to crowd the bar counter as waitresses move around taking orders from seated patrons. Ventilation inside the place has also been given priority.
Adjacent to Talking Heads is the Zoom Night Club, which has two sections that cater for music and football lovers. There is a dance floor next to the DJ booth, which allows for those who want to dance the night away to have it their way. There is also space for football lovers who want to watch televised football games projected on a huge wall. With the addition of Talking Heads, Rahman feels he was being considerate to the needs of those who neither enjoy football nor dancing but just want to sit down and enjoy their drinks and music.
