The Methodist Church of Southern Africa, Gaborone Circuit, last week hosted a 3-day convention for the Young Women’s Manyano. The Convention is held annually for the Limpopo District and this year it was held at Extension 12 Methodist Church. More than 500 faithfuls attended from far flung parts of Botswana and South Africa, with numerous others attending to support the event.
Kgosi Puso Gaborone of the Batlokwa was the Guest of Honour. Under the theme ”Re tsamaya le modimo o utlwang ,Modimo wa metlholothlolo”, Gaborone said that the church should be seen to be with mercy and compassion, and are stakeholders in the prevention of wars, HIV, poverty and other ills. “We need the church that is committed to preach the message of love. Mosadi ke thari ya sechaba, I pray that God guide our souls,” he told the delegates.
