The bad idea of a Corporate Social Responsibility tax 

Last week, something good came out of parliament. There was a motion presented by one of the legislators to the effect that companies doing business in Botswana. should be charged a mandatory corporate social responsibility tax. To add salt to injury, the tax would be charged on  profits before tax. In other words, government would charge tax twice.
