The hunt for new partner at BOTASH continues

The Minerals Development Company Botswana (MDCB) is on the lookout for a new partner to replace South Africa’s Chlor-Alkali Holdings (CAH) at BOTASH, the country’s sole soda ash and salt producer. MDCB is the holding company for Botswana government and also acts as an advisor on investments in the minerals sector.

According to Managing Director Kangangwani Phatshwane, the selection process, expected to span 15 to 20 weeks, is anticipated to begin shortly. “We aim to initiate the process soon, which should take around 20 weeks. Our goal is to find a partner committed to the sustainable growth of BOTASH,” Phatshwane stated.
