The tourism leakage 

Botswana’s tourism industry continues to face challenges in retaining significant revenue, resulting in leakage to neighboring countries, according to Dumezdweni Mthimkhulu, the minister responsible for tourism. 

During a recent presentation of the ministry’s budget in parliament, Mthimkhulu stated that the Botswana government has initiated a study on ‘Tourism Leakages in Botswana’ as part of strategic interventions to address this issue.
