Unemployed youth to vote with their feet?

Among the big issues being debated and discussed this election year, youth unemployment leads in importance to Batswana, however, it is unlikely to have a big impact on the outcome of the country’s elections.

A recent Afrobarometer survey has detailed how youth in Botswana see unemployment as the most pressing issue that needs urgent attention ahead of the general elections slated for October this year. The survey also reveals a high level of dissatisfaction with the government’s perceived failure to create jobs and address other significant economic challenges.
