What BDP is doing is tantamount to boloi

The reports are still unsubstantiated. For now they remain as just rumours and how I pray they be just that. But then again, with the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) you can never say never. Domkrag has in the past done horrendous things that border on witchcraft, you can never dismiss reports that link them to acts only expected from Satanists. I read with utmost dismay and anger at reports that suggested the BDP could be courting the newly elected Member of Parliament for Goodhope/Mabule Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II with the promise to take care of his medical health. What an insult to Kgosi Lotlaamoreng’s dignity! The things that BDP people do in their desperation to cling on to power are so despicable. They are so shocking even a vicious dog would just freeze and not bark at them. During the by-election campaign in Barolong, some insensitive and immoral BDP members used Kgosi Lotlaamoreng’s seemingly weak health to de-campaign him. They called on the electorates to shun him on the basis of his perceived ii-health. Le go swaba ba sa swabe. Batswana generally being a compassionate and well-mannered nation that is not susceptible to stupid and immature discrimination went on to punish the BDP for their bad manners. You would have thought the BDP learnt their lesson through the thrashing at the polls but lo and behold; they are at it again. They are trying to tell Kgosi Lotlaamoreng that they hold the key to the recovery of his health. They are trying to tell Kgosi Lotlaamoreng that only when he is their member will he have access to proper medical attention. Nxu stru! If I was Kgosi Lotlaamoreng, I would undress their parents for such belittlement and degradation. Kgosi Lotlaamoreng needs to have a word with the parents of whoever hatched such a demeaning plan or proposal. That person or those people were not raised properly because honestly, I don’t see anyone who grew up in a functional Setswana family, using another man’s seemingly poor health to their political gain. Le gone who said Kgosi Lotlaamoreng is ill when he has never made his health status public? Again, and assuming he is not in good health as BDP members excitedly claim, who said he cannot afford to seek medical attention without BDP slash funds? I ask myself, what kind of assistance does the BDP want to extend to Kgosi Lotlaamoreng. Do they want to give him money so he can consult private doctors? Who said he doesn’t have money for that? Is that the reason Speaker of the national assembly refuses to convene a special parliament sitting to swear in Kgosi Lotlaamoreng so he can start earning his salary? Does the BDP want to provide a medical doctor who is associated with their party? Who said Kgosi Lotlaamoreng’s party is short of such doctors? These people ba twaela Kgosi Lotlaamoreng and must be whipped on their sorry bare assess. If Kgosi Lotlaamoreng indeed desperately needs money for medical attention, BDP members should be the last people to worry because I know for sure they have their own party and family members who could gladly use their assistance. Kgosi Lotlaamoreng has his family, his tribe and his party members who, without a doubt, would be ready to shoulder his burdens. We are also told that the ever opportunistic BDP vultures are hovering on Gaborone Central Member of Parliament Phenyo  Butale’s head. They have learnt that his creditors have attached his property for auction. They suspect he could be broke and they are going for broke. They are said to be enticing Butale with promises of wiping away his financial woes. They are basically trying to buy him just as they have been doing with these other non entities from the Botswana Congress Party. The sad part about all these BDP recruitment transactions is that it is highly likely the taxpayer’s money is being (mis)used. We have learnt of the millions of Pula that are in the hands of the notorious DIS and chances are this is the money that is being used to entice opposition members into the BDP. The DIS always receives the larger portion of the national treasury and they are forced to publicly account for their expenditure. How then are we to know if they are not using our money to recruit hungry opposition activists into the BDP? They could as well be using our money to entertain themselves with prostitutes and we will never know because of the secrecy that shrouds their expenditure. My partner was asking me how well do I trust opposition politicians not to fall into the temptation of receiving financial bail outs from the BDP in lieu of their defection and my answer was simple: I don’t trust politicians. Yep! I don’t trust a single politician. How can I continue to trust politicians when they break the hearts of their followers so ruthlessly and shamelessly?  The very same people who have now joined the BDP are the very ones who used to dismiss the party as an enemy of the nation. They have now been bought, some we are told with as little as five thousand Pula and they are now singing praises for the BDP and hailing it as the best thing that has ever happened to our country. What I also told my partner is, the BDP is very stupid to think they will amass any meaningful gain from scavenging these hungry political leaders. The few cheap and spineless politicians that the BDP is busy enticing with money will not translate into anything. Batswana in general are fed up with the BDP. The BDP can romance leaders from the UDC and BCP but the reality is, ordinary members of those parties are gatvol with BDP. They have had enough. The BDP can buy Dumelang Saleshando and I can assure you he will probably only tag along his wife and not the many followers in his party. The BDP can take Duma Boko and rest assured he will walk alone like a shamed dog that has been scolded for farting in public. The fact of the matter is, even BDP members are fed up with their party. They are only hanging in there with the hope they too will benefit from the corruption gravy train that is being steered by their leaders. If the BDP wants to continue ruling this country, they must extend the good life to the ordinary citizens and not just opposition leaders. How do you celebrate the arrival of Lotty Manyapetsa who is not admired even by urchins in his old Naledi location? What influence does he have on the voters in his area? If you pay Butale’s debts and he defects, how does that change the views of the UB students on the BDP? With the money that the BDP is spending on these useless recruitments, they should perhaps settle MacD’s debts with Satar Dada. His ambitions are more laudable than those of his party.
