World Bank declares Botswana economy not ‘luster’

The World Bank has raised concerns about the trajectory of Botswana’s economy, declaring that the country has “lost some of its economic luster” amid rising structural challenges and slower growth prospects.

In its latest economic update, the global financial institution noted that while Botswana was once hailed as one of Africa’s success stories, recent years have seen a dip in economic dynamism.
