Zone 6B farmers prepare for cattle restocking following FMD green status

Farmers in Zone 6B, located in the North East district, are gearing up for a significant restocking exercise after the government declared the area free from Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). This positive development follows an official announcement made during a recent kgotla meeting in Tsamaya village, where Minister of Agriculture Fidelis Molao confirmed the eradication of FMD, which had been a significant challenge since its outbreak in August 2022 in Butale.
