BDP making aggressive push for Mahalapye East

With Yandani Boko having dramatically resigned his seat as Mahalapye East MP last month, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) fancies its chances of reclaiming a seat it lost to the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) in 2019.

The most visible and aggressive manifestation of such campaign began taking shape last Thursday when the Minister of Finance, Peggy Serame, visited Mahalapye to undertake two seemingly unrelated but actually very closely linked tasks.
