Yandani Boko is gone…….For all the hysteria, a bigger story is that Botswana’s best performing MP might also not be coming back

“He is immature..”

“He is a victim of his lifestyle…”

“He has simply failed to manage his finances…”

“He is headed for a job at SADC as legal advisor….”

“He might get a job in the foreign service… but not as ambassador. A First Secretary is the best bet…”

The above messages constitute a small sample of the clutter I received on my phone since the day Yandani Boko, a Member of Parliament for Mahalapye East  abruptly resigned from parliament.

These messages fall far too short to explain the manner of Boko’s resignation from parliament.

To say he has been irresponsible is to try to provide a coverup for a politician who almost five years in parliament has so clearly still not grasped the gravity of what it means to be a Member of Parliament.
