Botswana children trapped in modern day slavery – US report

The United States Department of Labour has raised the red flag on Botswana’s children in forced farm labor, domestic servitude and commercial child sexual exploitation, sometimes as a result of human trafficking.

The “2023 findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labour” Botswana report, paints the Botswana beef industry, one of the country’s biggest foreign exchange earners as an enclave of “the worst forms of child labor”.
