Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) reported a liquidity asset ratio of 20 percent for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, marking a decrease from 27 percent the previous year. Despite this dip in liquidity, BSB achieved exceptional financial performance across other areas, with a notable 258 percent increase in profit after tax to P23.3 million, up from P6.5 million in the prior year. This decline in liquidity aligns with BSB’s strategic capital deployment, aimed at fueling business expansion while maintaining regulatory compliance, which requires a minimum liquidity asset ratio of 10 percent.
