This year’s Miss Botswana fashion show promises to be an extravaganza that should not be missed. The main attraction at the event include top local and international hip hop artists, among them South African hip hop outfit Jozi, whose members include Bongani Fassie and Ishmael. Also billed to perform is botswana’s award winning rap artist Zeus, Stagga, Juju boy and K-Boss.
Tickets will be selling for P300.00 and P500.00 for VIP which will include dinner and front row seating. The show starts at seven thirty and will give the public an idea of what to expect come the final event on May 22nd.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Thapelo Pabalinga of Leapfrog communications, which has been contracted by Botswana Council of Women to organise the event, said the fashion show will ber like the pageant semi final, as the number of contestants will be cut from twenty five to fifteen.
This year’s winner gets to drive away in a sleek Mercedes Benz SLK worth P450 000. Last year’s winner Sumaiya Marope drove off in a Mercedes Benz C200 Compressor worth P300 000.The winner will also get free petrol, Revlon hair products and make up, groceries as well as free accommodation for the duration of her reign while the first and second princesses walk away with fifty and ten thousand pula cash respectively, as well as other goodies from different sponsors.
