Court documents detail simmering tensions within Botswana’s judicial system. Internal communication among judges has become angry, divisive and insinuate bad faith.
In the latest such dispatch, Justice Reuben Lekorwe questions the appointment of Justice Godfrey Radijeng as acting Chief Justice.

In his letter addressed to Radijeng, Lekorwe states that; “I have noted the contents of your letter under reference (letter dated 22nd December 2022), in particular, where you state that you have determined that the above matter is a case of exceptional public importance and your Lordship consequently appointed a panel of Judges, of which I am said to be a part.”
