For some time now, the nation has been living the edge, on anxiety regarding the true identity of France Museveni. This is an individual or group of people who are always revealing things on social media and they are doing the act of whistle blowing on issues of corruption. People are always looking forward to more revelations from France Museveni.
Many people have sought for my personal views on who this elusive character is. The problem that I have lived with for a while and have come to accept is that I have always been associated with intelligence operations and this perception has cost me a great deal in certain situations. People are asking me because that’s where they think I remain.
In 2011 I was appointed chairman of the Mogoditshane Sub-Land Board after I retired from the military. The board members and the staff labelled me as a DIS operative planted at the top echelons of power in that establishment. Some opened up to me and told me what they thought about me. One even shared with me how the plan to evict me was going to work.
But this is what most retired soldiers and police are experiencing. This is the reason why people just think I have knowledge of who France Museveni is. It is important that I make this disclaimer early on this article and I would not want to cause any anxiety on the reader. I have no idea who France Museveni is!
The choice of the name for this character is interesting. He uses the surname of the president of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni. The president of Uganda has five children and none of them uses the same surname as their father. I had suspected that he deliberately chose a name from that family.
The biggest question that we all need to ask is in regard to the role that the character is playing in our democracy. Whether positive or negative, depending on one’s worldview, MU7 as his supporters love to call him, is surely causing great consternations in this nation.
For the purpose of this article, allow me to do the personification of France Museveni as an individual though I strongly believe it is a team of intelligence officers. As far as I am concerned, this team was set up by the former Director General of DIS. The level of knowledge about things from MU7 makes one to think that this is an organized platform of paid up people and not an individual.
Museveni has largely divided opinion across this nation, that’s a fact. He is entrenched on issues of corruption and he is always ahead of us in most issues. Museveni is usually accurate in what he reports. The moment you hear him touch on an issue, just know that it is a tip of the iceberg to soon emerge. He has been all over on issues and where I found him to be wanting is on issues of aviation. Otherwise he is always spot on with other issues.
When this fellow posted something about the aircraft that was to carry Vice President Masisi to an event in Tsabong, he assigned it a registration of a jet fighter in the F5 fighter squadron. Imagine a VIP flying in a fighter jet.
The reason that I suspect that Museveni is a member of the intelligence community is for the fact that he is always spot on with intelligence issues. Without mentioning names, he has deliberated accurately on issues of DIS officers who are currently on suspension. At a different time he even published pictures of these officers that are accused of being loyal to a character he calls John Moriri.
Before the publication of the pictures, I was well aware whom the officers were from the descriptions he provided. These are people I worked with in the military. They were both excelling in their military careers and by now they could be far. Of course they were recruited to join DIS at a higher remuneration rate.
Getting to the issues that this fellow raises, they are almost always spot on. Indeed he is a whistle blower of note. One of the most recent cases involved the visit to South Africa by the Ngwato royal uncles. He reported on the meeting that was held in the Bafhokeng Royal Palace. Before no time pictures followed that buttressed and authenticated his reporting.
Interesting enough, one of the delegates came back to be admitted into hospital for a routine procedure. Even his family members were convinced that the old man never left the country until Museveni published the pictures of the meeting. Initially the old man was denying that he never left the country but owned up when pictures of the meeting were published.
France Museveni seems to be well resourced in his cyber operations. He equally has very reliable sources as well. He is always nailing it on the head. This has caused great fear among those public figures who know that their corruption books do not balance.
I would personally want to meet France Museveni to fill him in with issues of corruption at BDF. He knows the issues but not on pinpoint accuracy. The procurement of arms at BDF under very corrupt circumstances had become a culture for several years. This is something the public has often been told by other sources but not in sufficient detail.
Museveni has particularly targeted high profile politicians and those connected to them. Only one among the many has made an attempt to stand up to this cyber bully. There was very little effect on these attempts to bring down Museveni.
However, Museveni’s whistle blowing seems to be biased because there is that sector of the political elite that he never touches. Is this by coincidence or by design?
It is however a lesson to those in power that they must play their cards right because one day their misdeeds may be laid bare by the same character or like minded operatives.
