The Paramount Chief of Bangwaketse Kgosi Malope II is the new deputy chair of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi.

Kgosi Malope takes over from Kgosi Letlaamoreng of Barolong who has since joined politics.

Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II is now a Member of Parliament for Goodhope ÔÇôMabule constituency following a recent by-election.

“I believe the House has spoken with the vote and I am looking forward for a formidable partnership, good cooperation and relationship with you for the interest of this Hallowed House. There are many issues of public interest and hopefully your contribution will bring relevance and elevation of this House,” said the Paramount Chief of Batlokwa and Chairperson of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi Kgosi Puso Gaborone welcoming Kgosi Malope II as his new Deputy.

For his part Kgosi Malope II thanked all the traditional leaders who took part in the vote including those who did not vote for him.

Still at the summer opening session of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi, Kgosi Botoki Quinton Motshegare of Barolong was also officially unveiled and sworn in as the new traditional leader of the tribe replacing Kgosi Lotlaamoreng II.

“With this sworn in allegiance statement know that you are a full member of this House with equal rights and obligations. Ask questions where you do not know and understand from your fellow traditional leaders and I know they will not disappoint,” Gaborone told the Kgosi Motshegare.
