Police finally apprehended a man who has been on the run for the better part of a month for allegedly killing and burying a woman in Mmankgodi early last month.
The suspect, Ronald Raleteba, was nabbed at Dagwi Village in the Tutume Sub District.
Raleteba denied ever escaping from them, explaining that he was on his consultation rounds with his clients at Tutume Sub District.

The man denied murdering of Nono Teleki last month at Mmankgodi.

Thamaga Police Station Acting Station Commander, Otsile Gaboinewe, said the post mortem was conducted but they are still waiting for the results.
Information reaching The Sunday Standard is that Raleteba, who is a traditional doctor, is alleged to have been in love with the murdered woman’s elder sister. Gaboinewe told The Sunday Standard that the suspect was in a troubled relationship with the woman, whom he started dating after her husband passed away.??But the two, on various occasions, had some differences, which had led to the intervention by the police in an effort to resolve their issues. The two then agreed to end their relationship and the man indicated that he would be collecting his personal belongings the following day.??But that did not happen; Raleteba had a heated argument with her and allegedly stabbed her with a knife then buried her in nearby bushes and disappeared.
Gaboinewe said the suspect is currently in custody as police investigations continue.
