An investigation that was carried out on a police constable accused of raping a 12-year-old girl has now landed him before the court of law.
The accused police officer, Price Setuke (38), stationed at the Police Headquarters in Gaborone is accused of raping his step daughter and will appear before the Gaborone Village Magistrate court today (Wednesday).
The incident allegedly happened on 31 August last year.
So far, the accused person has not yet been interdicted from duty.
The case prosecutor, Pricilla Israel, said about eight witnesses are expected to testify against Setuke.
