Local entertainment company, RIZN Media, announced in a statement that it will bring award winning Hip Hop group, TEARGAS, to Gaborone where they will launch their latest album, Dark or Blue at Bull ‘n Bush.
Ntokozo ‘K.O’ Mduli, brothers Ezee ‘Ma-E’ Hanabe and Bantu ‘ Ntukuza’ Hanabe, who hail from Piet Retief, Mpumalanga and Soweto respectively- make up the Hip Hop outfit known as TEARGAS.
The group has been in the mainstream Hip Hop industry since 2004 and since then, has made their mark on the Southern African Hip Hop map.
TEARGAS, signed under Electromode Music, has previously released two albums with hit singles such as Teargas Anthem, We Came to the Party, Chance and Champions to name but a few.
“The Group has received immense recognition for their music which communicates messages of hope and aims to raise social awareness within the masses on an array of social ills which affect society,” the statement said. “Teargas has won Metro FM Awards in 2008 and 2009 for Best Album, Best Hip Hop Award and Best Song of the Year and Best Group. Last year, they scooped the coveted South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Rap and they did it again at this year winning the Best Rap Album award.”

The statement said that Firefox will be responsible for sound, lights and staging at the event to ensure a quality experience for all who attend.
“Bull ‘n Bush will come to life on May 1st when Teargas launches their album, with Dolla Mac as MC for the night, DJ Kenzo and Kuchi on the decks and Teargas performing on stage with Emcee Africa winner Cibil Nyte, who will be warming the stage for the SA trio. To accommodate everyone who will be dancing the night away, Bull ‘n Bush will have an additional dance floor.
