Safety concerns remain unresolved even as BR plans to resume passenger train service

In planning to resume the passenger train service that was stopped in 2020 at the height of Covid, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works may be putting coaches before the locomotive engine.

After four years, Francistown South MP, Wynter Mmolotsi, is really anxious to see the “blue train” back in service. To that end, he enquired from the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Eric Molale, how far such plans are and whether the coaches are still in good condition.
