Take control of how you feel

Your feelings make you. How you feel most of the time determines how you act most of the time. How you act most of the time determines the results that you create. So why not find a way to master your emotions so that you are always feeling top notch. Why not figure out a way to bounce back quicker from things that derail you emotionally so that you can quickly feel strong again and in your feeling stronger get more things done.

The only true currency you have are your emotions, how you feel about yourself, your abilities, your potential and your ability to get things done. The more positive and strong you feel the more unstoppable you will be. But the more negative and weak you feel about any given situation the less likely you will be to make an impact.

What I find most interesting is that people want to delegate the responsibility of how they feel to someone else. They delegate it to their spouses, to their co-workers and to the people that are around them. If they don’t leave it up to those people they leave it up to the environment or circumstances to give them clues as to how to feel and therefore how to act.

In the last 100 days of 2010 why not challenge yourself to accountability of the highest order? Why not learn not only how to protect how you feel but also how to stir up the most powerful, strong and inspiring emotions that will power you through all forms of adversity you may encounter in the last 100 days of 2010. If you are going to do what you have never done before, go where you have never gone before why not go there boldly? Why not be as strong as you can ever be? Why not find out what it will take for you to be stronger today than you were yesterday?

If you don’t do these things or experiment with these powerful emotions then how are you ever going to find out how powerful you can be? The next 100 days should be about experimentation. It should be about you doing things you have never done before and in order for you to do things that you have never done before you have to feel like you have never felt before. The ultimate responsibility of how you feel and as result what you get done lies with you.

If you shy away from that responsibility then don’t be surprised if very little gets done.┬á To be excited for a day, or a week or two is commonplace and it is a tragedy of the human condition.┬á How to sustain your motivation and drive is a responsibility that you must assume with great urgency and resilience?

They say that Paris was not build in a day or did they say Rome, either way even if they said it was Rome the bottom line is that neither was Paris built in a day. But I bet if those workers that built Rome had neglected to do their daily work daily then Rome would never have been built, so why not do yours today.

The sad reality about modern psychology is that it focuses on fixing sick people instead of showing people that are alright how to live. So how much better can your life get or how much more magical can your life be is your sole responsibility because you are not about to get help in those questions from anybody from the department of psychology or from anybody that is in the counseling department. So it really is up to you to discover how strong you can be, how focused you can be, how driven, how energetic, how disciplined, how resilient, how passionate, how confident you can be. Above all it is up to you to find out through experimentation and reflection to just how much more you can get done and how more magical life can get.

That is why it is your primary responsibility to ensure that you are energized by your thoughts which as a result create thoughts that create breakthroughs for you instead of hold you back. Your thoughts are the chisel with which you curve the world into the shape you want. If you neglect to take care of your thoughts then you thoughts will give you random results that you had not planned for or anticipated.
