Teams bear the financial brunt as sponsors snub BBA  

Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) South league finds itself running on a shoestring budget as corporate sponsors continue to pull the plug on their investments. League Chairperson Mmoloki Moilwa says to run an effective league, BBA needs a P200 000 financial boost.

“The needed sponsorship will cover appreciation for game officials including referees, table officials as well as statisticians. Additional costs include the setup of the courts for the games as well as clean up after the games, refreshments for game officials and media advertising, as well as WiFi connectivity and a laptop for statistics,” he explains.
